Alect Inc. (“Alect”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through alect.ai and our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors, customers, and users of our website and platform.
We use your information to: provide, operate, and improve the Services; respond to inquiries and support requests; send service notifications, appointment confirmations, and account updates that you have requested; process billing; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Where you have opted in, we may send SMS messages related to your account or service, such as appointment confirmations, service reminders, and support follow-ups. These messages are sent only to customers who have provided consent. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send promotional SMS in the current program. Any future promotional program will require separate express consent. Requested AI-agent testing messages are included only when you opt in to service SMS. We record affirmative consent with its timestamp, source form, and disclosure text and version. A phone number alone does not constitute consent.
We share information only with: service providers and processors that help us operate the Services (such as hosting, communications, and payment processing), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations; professional advisers under confidentiality; and law enforcement or regulators when required by law. Customer business data processed under contract is treated as confidential and is not shared with other customers. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from such sharing. We may provide this information to service providers solely to deliver and support the SMS program, not for their own marketing.
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Contracted customer data is retained per the applicable service agreement and deleted or returned at contract end unless retention is legally required.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, and destruction.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from another country, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version will always be posted at alect.ai/privacy with the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be flagged on the website before they take effect.
